Background:
The Fairway Park Detention Facility Revision - Regional Detention, Phase II project involves expanding the existing stormwater detention facility on the north side of Albany Street, one-half mile east of 9th Street by excavating the pond to a deeper bottom elevation and construction of two (2) grouted rip-rap spillways that convey creek flows into the stepped pond system. The project was advertised for bids on March 23 and 30, 2016, and bids were opened on April 14, 2016 with the lowest responsible bidder was Lowry Construction Services, Inc., with a bid of $388,768.89.

This Change Order #1 addresses the following additions to the contract:

Change of Work Items Included in this Change Order:
1) Remove proposed installation of the Type IV Grouted Rip-Rap along the spill way section on the Upper Pond. Remove 925 SY of Type IV Grouted Rip-Rap from the contract documents. Install 925 SY of Type I Rip-Rap with fabric per directions in RFI#3.
2) Per RFI#2 attached, reset the storm sewer line and outlet on the southern berm of the Upper Pond.
Change in Contractual Project Time:
1) No Change in Time
2) No Change in Time

The addition of Type I Rip Rap in the amount of $54,052.00 is subject to the maximum limitations of Oklahoma State (O.S.) Statute 61-121, which is $58,315.33 or 15% of the original construction contract. Therefore, this amount complies with the restriction and brings the total amount subject to the limitation is 13.9%.
