Approval of and authorization to execute an Amendment No. 1 for Professional Engineering Services with Black & Veatch Corporation and the Regional Metropolitan Utility Authority (RMUA) for the Haikey Creek Lift Station (HCLS), Phase IV Improvements (BAMA Project No. HC23020, RMUA Project No. RMUA ES 2022-04)

Background:
The scope of the project is to upgrade the HCLS, due to multiple overflows that have occurred. The Lift Station needs additional capacity to meet future projected peak flows. This Amendment is to cover additional design costs for the consultant Black and Veatch Corporation (B&V) to investigate possible locations for an upstream flow equalization basin (FEB) for the Haikey Creek Lift Station to help mitigate peak flows upstream and reduce peak flows at the lift station. B&V will develop a list of advantages/disadvantages to this scenario.
Amendment 1 for Professional Engineering Services was negotiated with Black and Veatch for the HCLS Improvements Project. The Amendment 1 amount is $28,217.00 bringing the total Agreement amount is $297,030.00, the cost of which will be evenly split between the City of Tulsa and BAMA.
Cost: $14,108.50 (BAMA’s cost)
