Background:
In 2019, the City successfully obtained a Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) Grant for design and construction of improvements for the following pedestrian and bike trail: Broken Arrow Creek Trail Phase 2.
The payment for the project cost for construction will be based upon 80% cost share from federal STP Grant funds, and 20% cost share from City funds. The City would be responsible for 100% of the funding once the federal maximum has been reached. Currently the engineer’s estimate for the construction and inspection cost is $1,594,797.80.00. At this time the City has available 2018 GO Bond funds to cover the City’s share for the construction and inspection of the project.
Staff recommends approving the project agreement between ODOT and the City of Broken Arrow for the construction of the project. Payment for the City’s matching funds amount will be made through the attached invoice from ODOT.
