Consideration, discussion and possible preview on an ordinance amending Chapter 7, Article I, In General, Section 7-2 of the Broken Arrow Code, License tax for itinerant merchants specifically prohibiting merchants from conducting business within 250 feet of a special event in which the City has entered into a contract authorizing such event; repealing all ordinances to the contrary and declaring an emergency

Background:
This ordinance was amended by the City Council on April 15, 2014 to prohibit an itinerant merchant from conducting business within 250 feet of a special event in which the City has entered into a Contract authorizing such event. On June 16, 2015, sixty days later, the ordinance was amended to reference the Manual of Fees.
The City Clerk's office sends the amended ordinances to Municode who then supplements the City's ordinances. Municode posts these ordinances online and provides hard copy supplements to the City.  Staff commonly uses the online version as the most recent version of the ordinances to make amendments as the hard copies are not produced as quickly. In this instance, Municode did not have the corrected April 15th version posted online and therefore, the changes made in June inadvertently omitted the 250 feet requirement that was added in April.  The ordinance now needs to be amended to include the 250 feet requirement.
