Approval of and authorization to execute an Agreement for Professional Consultant Services with PDG, LLC, dba Planning Design Group for Design of Indian Springs Sports Complex Baseball and Soccer Improvements (Project No. 166028)

Background:
Indian Springs Sports Complex, Baseball and Soccer Improvements Project is a 2011 Quality of Life General Obligation (G.O.) Bond project. The bond issue calls for improvements to the east side soccer and baseball complex, including: parking lot improvements, chain-link fencing replacement, irrigation additions and main entrance gateway signage improvements. Engineering and Construction Department along with Parks and Recreation Department Staff selected PDG, LLC, dba Planning Design Group, to perform the design of the improvements and prepared the associated construction documents.
The Engineering and Construction Department prepared the attached agreement with PDG, LLC in the amount of $76,000.00. The anticipated cost of the constructed improvements is $1,035,000.00. Funding for the design and construction work will be sourced from the 2011 GO Bond. Staff recommends that the Council approve the Agreement and authorize its execution.
