Title:
title
Approval of and authorization to execute the second renewal for Medical Oxygen and Industrial Gas to American Medical Gas
End

Background:
The City solicited Bid #25.109 for the supply of medical oxygen and industrial gases. To ensure transparency and encourage competitive participation, the bid was advertised in the Tulsa World and on the City of Broken Arrow website. Three responsive bids were received and opened. Following evaluation and consideration by the governing body, the recommendation to utilize American Medical Gas was approved at the October 15, 2024 meeting.

The governing body subsequently approved the first contract renewal at the June 16, 2025 meeting. The current contract term extends through June 30, 2026, and includes the refill, lease, and rental of cylinders utilized by various City departments.

Based on the consistently excellent service provided under the existing contract, staff recommends renewing the agreement with American Medical Gas for an additional one-year term. Their proven reliability, responsiveness, and ability to meet the City's needs have made them a valued service provider. Additionally, pricing has remained unchanged since the original bid award in 2024, providing continued value and cost stability for the City.

Approval of this second renewal will ensure the uninterrupted, timely, and efficient delivery of these essential gases through June 30, 2027.
