Approval of and authorization to execute a Memorandum of Understanding between the Northeastern State University and the City of Broken Arrow with respect to earning academic credit for the Broken Arrow Police Academy

Background:

The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding between Northeastern State University and the City of Broken Arrow on behalf of the Broken Arrow Police Department is provide academic credit for recruits attending the Broken Arrow Police Academy.

Recruits will be able to earn 27 college credits through Northeastern State University by attending and completing the Broken Arrow Police Academy.  The credits will include 12 hours of core classes and 15 hours of elective classes which can be used towards the recruit’s degree program.

There is no cost to the City of Broken Arrow to execute this Memorandum of Understanding.
