Consideration, discussion, and possible approval of the formation of a New City Hall Initiative Committee

Background:
Staff is recommending the formation of a New City Hall Initiative Committee to provide input and assist with preliminary discussions on options to address the operational needs of the organization.
Committee members will meet with the architect selected and provide feedback on what is important, new vs. expansion, and possible locations for a new City Hall.
Pending City Council approval, the proposed Committee would made up of the following members and representations:
• 2 Members from City Council
• 2 Members from Planning Commission
• City Council Appointments (by each Council member)
• City Manager’s Appointment
The nominations of the City Council appointees shall be made by each City Council member, and they will inform the City Manager’s Office of their appointed individual by January 31, 2024.
