Background:

The Broken Arrow Events Park is located at 21101 E 101st St, Broken Arrow, OK 74014. The City of Broken Arrow is looking into future infrastructure improvements in the park.

On September 19, 2023, City Council passed an Agreement with Kimley Horn to start the Topographic Survey and Geotechnical Investigation for Events Park.  On October 3, 2023 City Council passed an Amendment to the agreement for $100,000 for design work at an hourly rate. On September 7, 2023 City Council removed the $100,000 previously approved in amendment 1, and then approved a Survey and Design fee of $1,460,700 in Amendment 2. On December 19, 2023 City Council passed Amendment 3 for survey and design work for $71,700 and a net change of $1,432,400. On April 16th, 2024 City Council passed Amendment 4 for a reduction of $59, 810 and an addition for survey and design work of $264,700. Amendment 4 had a total of $204,890 fee increase for a net change of $1,637,290.

City staff negotiated a fifth amendment with Kimley Horn for Survey and Design services of $175,800.  This amendment will extend the project to include design and topographical survey for parking lot 4, and for Right of Way Preparation Services for roadways throughout Events Park and along 101st Street.
