End
Background:
Olive Avenue, also known as 129th E Avenue, from Jasper Street to Yazoo Street has shared ownership between Tulsa County and the City of Broken with each party having fifty percent interest in the roadway. The roadway surface requires improvements including patching of the failing sections and overlaying asphalt on the existing pavement.
The purpose of the interlocal agreement outlines the responsibilities of the City of Broken Arrow and Tulsa County on the project. Tulsa County will perform the asphalt paving operations, and the City of Broken Arrow will reimburse Tulsa County for fifty percent of the actual material costs and fifty percent of the equipment and labor costs at a rate of ten dollars ($10) per ton of asphalt. Each party will be responsible for preparation of the respective roadway such as patching.
The total costs will be based on actual pavement placed. However, the City of Broken Arrow share as it relates to the agreement is estimated to be between $60,000 to $70,000.
