Approval of and authorization to execute the Services Agreement for a 5-year services contract with Trane Technologies
End
Background:
The Broken Arrow Municipal Authority owns and operates the Verdigris River Water Treatment Plant (VRWTP) and has Trane Technologies equipment for the HVAC system at the facility. The Scheduled Service Agreement from Trane offers an exclusive approach to planned maintenance. The service agreement will allow Trane to schedule and manage preventative maintenance and provide repair coverage to help minimize unplanned downtime and avoid unexpected expenses. Proper maintenance can save an estimated 12 to 18 percent of the budget compared to the run-to-fail approach.
The Broken Arrow Municipal Authority negotiated a 5-year services agreement $227,880.00 to provide preventative maintenance at the VRWTP facilities. Negotiations are Year 1 fee $40,964.00, Year 2 fee $42,604.00, Year 3 fee $44,308.00, Year 4 fee $46,080.00, and Year 5 fee $47,924.00. The amounts will be budgeted in the Utilities Department Budget each year.
