Presentation of update of the pilot study Phase 2 for County Line Trunk Sewer Odor Control System

End

Background:

The Utilities Department has been working on addressing the sewer gas odors within the areas along the County Line roadway between Hwy 51 and the Creek Turnpike for the past several years. In June of 2024, the Utilities Department came to the Authority to present their findings on a Phase 1 pilot study that was implemented for a 30-day and 60-day trial to much improvement of Hydrogen Sulfide gases in the system. From these positive improvements in system, the Authority approved the purchase of a full-sized Wager Unit for implementation in Phase 2 of the pilot study program.

This system has been installed since February of 2025, and this presentation will cover the findings that staff have developed thus far in the program and provide recommendations for next steps.
