Background:

Each year the city adopts by resolution the Manual of Fees that go into effect October 1st of each year. The current Manual of Fees was reviewed at a special meeting on July 14, 2025. Attached is a copy of the proposed Manual of Fees for review. Below are some of the highlights:

                     

3% increase:

 

Building permits, trade permits, building inspections, electrical and mechanical permits, zoning applications, electrical, general and plumbing contractors, license and registration fees- see full list in the manual of fees.

 

2.5% increase to the cemetery fees

 

Utility Fees:

Water                                                                                     4.90%

Sewer                                                                                     18.90%

Stormwater                                                                4.90%

Solid Waste                                                               $2.50

 

The utility rates for a user of 7,000 gallons will increase $12.69 per month. The rate increase is necessary due to increased costs of operations, additional personnel, and construction costs to name a few.
