Approval of and authorization to execute a Service Agreement between Two Oaks Investment, LLC and the City of Broken Arrow to continue to provide services for Workers’ Compensation claims administration
End
Background:
The City provides Workers’ Compensation benefits to employees through a self-insured program. With this concept, the City contracts with a third party administrator to administer the program and pay claims. Consolidated Benefits Resources is the City’s current third party administrator.
Consolidated Benefits Resources’ claim management programs provide for the prevention, investigation, processing, accounting and payment of workers’ compensation claims.
Staff received a renewal agreement from Consolidated Benefits Resources confirming no adjustments will be made to their annual administration fee of $70,000. All terms of the agreement remain, outside of a change of ownership from Jerry Whorton, LLC, to Two Oaks Investment LLC, and a $2.00 handling fee per transaction submitted to the Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Commission for their Electronic Data Interface mandate.
Consolidated Benefits Resources has been excellent to work with and provides exceptional customer service. Staff recommends approval of the third party administrator renewal for Workers’ Compensation claims administration.
