Background:
Due to increased development and traffic in the vicinity of the 20th Street & Hillside Drive intersection, Engineering & Construction Department staff selected a qualified consulting firm, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., to negotiate an Agreement for Professional Consultant Services for providing design services on the 20th Street - Hillside Drive Intersection & Corridor Study.
The agreement includes design services to analyze several intersection improvement alternatives and provide a recommended conceptual plan for the 20th & Hillside intersection. The agreement also includes services to provide traffic analysis and identify possible congestion and connectivity solutions along the Hillside Drive corridor between 9th Street and 23rd Street as well as between Kenosha Street & Hillside Drive on 20th Street.
Upon completion of the conceptual design and corridor study phase, staff will bring a design amendment for completing preparation of final construction documents for the improvements to the 20th & Hillside intersection.
Cost: $88,000.00
