Background:
As part of the South Main Street pavement rehabilitation project, authorized by city council in the fiscal year 2026 budget, pavement markings will be reapplied after the asphalt milling process. Contractors will place the white and yellow markings, and city forces will complete the green bicycle lane paint spanning from the railroad tracks down to Washington Street.
The contacted portion of the project was sent out for quotes from (3) qualified local contractors on May 12, 2026 and quotes were received by May 19, 2026. Two quotes were received. The low quote was submitted by Advance Workzone Services LLC, in the amount of $81,500.
Funding for the work will be supplied by Street Sales Tax, Fund 343, under project ST26060
