This item comes before the Council to advise of out-of-state travel by City Council Members for July 2026:
The U.S. Conference of Mayors - Mayors Celebrate America: To mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Conference of Mayors is providing a special opportunity in Philadelphia for mayors to reflect on our nation’s founding and to celebrate the enduring spirit of our democracy.
On July 1-2, 2026, Mayor Debra Wimpee will be traveling to Philadelphia, PA to attend this meeting.
NLC Summer Board and Leadership Meeting: This event brings together persons that serve on the NLC Board of Directors or Constituency Groups. They will discuss key decisions on NLC’s municipal policy and the organization budget.
On July 7-10, 2026, Mayor Debra Wimpee and Council Member Lisa Ford will be traveling to Louisville, KY to attend this meeting.
