Recognition of the 2017 City of Broken Arrow University (COBA-U) Participants

End

Background:

City of Broken Arrow University (COBA-U) was established in February 2017 as a pilot training program for employees citywide regarding municipal government operations and leadership tenants.  There were 45 participants divided into three groups representing all City departments.  Classes were held monthly and led by department directors and key staff members.  Employees had to complete an online application and department directors made recommendations to the City Manager who made the final selection.  The goals of the program are to create an educated and informed workforce, assist with succession planning and foster relationships between departments.

The program concluded in January 2018.  Recognition will be given to the 45 employees who successfully completed the program.
