Background:

The attached 20-foot Utility Easement (total 14,181.88 square feet) and 10-foot Temporary Construction Easement (total 10,850.46 square feet) are conveyed to the City of Broken Arrow by the Carolyn J. Morris Trust.in exchange for $14,181.00 compensation and a service tap.  The compensation of $1.00 per square foot for the permanent easement is considered reasonable. No compensation is required for the temporary construction easement.  The easements are required for the Aspen Creek Relief Line, a gravity sanitary sewer line that when constructed, will allow the removal of two lift stations (the Grey Oaks and the Florence Street stations).

Funding for the easement is from Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) Loan No. FAP-16-0001-L.  Staff recommends that the Council accept the Utility Easement and the Temporary Construction Easement.
