Background:

The project was designed by Keithline Engineering Group, PLLC for construction utilizing federal Community Development Block Grant funding and includes approximately 2,770 square yards of full depth asphalt pavement removal and replacement as well as approximately 5,890 square yards of asphalt cold milling and 2” overlay. Also included in the work are miscellaneous storm drainage improvements.  The project is located on streets within the area between Main and 5th Streets as well as Detroit and Greeley Streets. 

The project was advertised on July 7 and July 14, 2025.  Bids were opened on July 29, 2025 with three (3) bids received, all of which being responsive. A certified bid tabulation is attached. The bids submitted were composed of twenty-seven (27) pay items to form the total base bid. The lowest responsible bidder was Cherokee Pride Construction, Inc., with a total bid of $573,292. The total engineer’s estimate for this project was $643,634.
