Background:
The 79th Street (Midway Road) and Kenosha Street Intersection is a 2026 General Obligation Bond Proposition 1 project for which Engineering & Construction Department staff selected and negotiated a Professional Consultant Services Agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates for design of improvements. The agreement includes widening the existing Kenosha Street and Midway Road intersection to accommodate the addition of left turn lanes. The improved intersection shall also include signalization and drainage improvements.
The project also includes services for the following: identification of ultimate right-of-way needs, preparation of ultimate right-of-way acquisition documents, identification of the need for utility relocations, coordination of utility relocations, as well as a drainage and flood study for Timber Creek.
Cost: $243,810
