Approval of and authorization to purchase four (4) Traffic Signal Cabinets and four (4) controllers for four (4) intersections from Econolite Control Products, a sole source vendor
End
Background:
The Signal Division of the Streets and Stormwater Department has budgeted for the purchase of four (4) traffic signal cabinets and four (4) controllers for four (4) intersections. Funds for this purchase are available in the Sales Tax Capital Improvement Fund in the amount of $156,000.00 (Project No. TS25010, TS25020, TS25030 and TS25040)
A sole source quote has been received from Econolite Control Products for the cabinets and controllers.
Staff recommends that the Council award the responsible quote to Econolite Control Products, for the purchase of four (4) Cabinets and four (4) Controllers for four (4) intersections. The intersections are located at Highway 51 and the Creek Turnpike (east entrance) and E Kenosha St and the Creek Turnpike (east and west entrances) and 1 cabinet at S. Aspen Ave and the Creek Turnpike.
Cost: $73,875.16
