Review of bids received, award of the lowest responsible bid to Voy Construction, LLC, and approval of and authorization to execute a construction contract for City Hall Renovations, Replacement of Siding and Soffits (Project No. 151703A)
End
Background:
The City Hall Renovations, Replacement of Siding and Soffits project involves removal of the existing deteriorated fascia and soffit materials on the north end of City Hall that were constructed in 1972, and replacement with a stucco system installed over the existing framing system. The existing soffits and fascias are not only unsightly, they contain (non-friable) asbestos that must be disposed of according to regulatory requirements. The contractor has the option of replacing all or part of the framing system at no additional cost, in order to provide a complete project.

The project was advertised for bids on March 29 and April 5, 2016, and bids were opened on April 21, 2016. Two (2) bids were received, and Voy Construction, LLC, submitted the low bid of $88,688.00. The Architect's estimate was $119,400.00. The Certified Bid Tabulation is attached. Staff recommends award of the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Voy Construction, LLC.

Funding for this project is from Sales Tax Capital Improvements.

Cost: $88,688.00
