End
Background:
Channel runs along the Reserve D for Aspen Pond subdivision, platted in 2008. It is the end of a multi subdivision drainage path that flows into the East Branch of Haikey Creek. The neighboring school property has not been platted but was constructed in 1974.
The concrete walls of the channel have begun to fail and buckle in some areas. One section of the school property has begun eroding and the school’s fence along the west side of the property has also begun to fail.
There are electrical transmission and distribution lines along the west side of the channel that may be affected by future erosion.
The Homeowner’s Association has asked the City for help. Staff is requesting a feasibility study performed by an outside engineering firm to assess the health of the channel and possible solutions.
This is in the Haikey Creek Basin
