Approval of and authorization to purchase grapplers from Stock Enterprises for the new Police Department Chevy Tahoes and Ford F150 Responders

Background:
The Police Department is requesting the city approve the purchase of grapplers to be outfitted on the new patrol Chevy Tahoes (8) and Ford F150 Responders (2). We will seek approval from Council to purchase these vehicles shortly. The Police Department will equip all future full frame Tahoes and F150’s with grapplers moving forward. These grapplers are tools mounted to the front of patrol cars and are used to end pursuits more safely. These grapplers are a sole source product manufactured by Stock Enterprises.
Funds have been appropriated and are available in Police Department’s portion of the STCI.
Cost: $69,028.93
