Background:
The City of Broken Arrow applied for Surface Transportation Program (STP) Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funds for two trails projects in Broken Arrow. The City was successful in obtaining STP - TAP funds for this project to perform a conceptual corridor study for five trail locations in Broken Arrow. The trails selected were listed in the INCOG GO Plan and are titled Broken Arrow South Loop Trail Extension (14), Haikey Creek (19), Haikey Creek Broken Arrow Tributary (19b), Adams Creek (44), Broken Arrow Creek South (46).
City of Broken Arrow Staff (Engineering & Construction Department and Parks & Recreation Department), along with ODOT were involved in an Architectural/Engineering selection for this project and LandPlan Consultants, Inc. was selected. The scope and fee have been negotiated and ODOT is preparing a Contract with LandPlan.
This item is an ODOT - City of Broken Arrow agreement for the City's 25% share ($25,000.00) of the funding. With this ODOT agreement, the City agrees to manage the ODOT A/E contract. After ODOT receives this signed agreement they will execute it along with the A/E contract with LandPlan. Payment of the City Share is a Claims List item.
Funding is from Parks and Recreation Capital Improvements. Staff recommends that the Council approve the Engineering Contract Funding Agreement and authorize its execution.
Cost: $25,000.00
