Approval and authorization to Execute Budget Amendment Number 1 for Fiscal Year 2027

Background:
The Municipal Budget Act adopted by the City Council allows the City to amend the budget at any time during the year for necessary expenditures incurred that exceed the original budget or when circumstances warrant the action.
On June 15, 2026, Council approved the purchase of real property located at 1201 South Main Street in Broken Arrow in the amount of $600,000. Budget Amendment Number 1 appropriates a portion of fund balance of the Sales Tax Capital Improvement Fund for the purchase and closing costs of said property in the amount of $650,000. These funds will be reimbursed to the Sales Tax Capital Improvement Fund by the 2026 GO Bond Fund at a future date.
