Background:

The sidewalk along Kenosha Street is incomplete from approximately Sycamore Avenue and Narcissus Avenue on both the north and south sides of Kenosha. The Engineering and Construction Department selected Garver Engineering to design a project that will complete the pedestrian path on both the north and south sides of the roadway.

The project was advertised February 3 and February 10, 2026. Bids were opened March 10, 2026 with four bids received, all of which were responsive. A certified bid tabulation is attached. The bids submitted were composed of forty-two (42) pay items to form the total base bid. The lowest responsible bidder was Builder’s Unlimited, Inc. with a total bid of $324,239.76. The total engineer’s estimate for this project was $382,184.00.

The project will be funded by the 2018 GO Bond Proposition 1 and a transfer from the Street Sales Tax Fund “To be Determined” project, ST26080.
