Approval of and authorization to purchase eight (8) 2026 Chevy Tahoe Police Pursuit Vehicles from John Vance Fleet Services, pursuant to the Oklahoma Statewide Vehicle Contract #1000009315
End
Background:
Law enforcement agencies throughout the State of Oklahoma are able to purchase vehicles at the state contract price, which is advantageous to the political subdivisions by allowing them to make purchases at lower prices. The Police Department is seeking to purchase eight (8) 2026 Chevy Tahoe pursuit vehicles for the Patrol Division. These Tahoes will replace aging vehicles in the patrol fleet. The Chevy Tahoe is a full framed vehicle. Therefore, the Tahoe will accept the installation of a grappler device. Additionally, the AWD / 4WD wheel drive vehicle has proven to be more stable in all weather conditions and makes the vehicle capable of traversing snow and ice. This is an important factor when considering a patrol vehicle that is on the street all year round.
Vance’s state bid quote for these Tahoes is $465,672.00.
Funds have been appropriated and are available in the fiscal year 2026 budget.
Cost: $465,672.00
