Approval of and authorization to execute Major Change Order MC01 for Construction Contract 116035C, Chisholm Trail Park South Electrical Phase 2
End
Background:
The Chisholm Trail Park South Electrical Phase 2 system provides wiring and hookups for concessions, lighting, sound systems, and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) for temporary structures such as meeting tents. This project was awarded October 21, 2014, in the amount of $231,092.36 to Third Generation Electrical, Inc. The funding for this project comes from the 2011 Quality of Life GO Bond. This Change Order addresses changes required to increase the contract time for the project due to inability to perform work on days that the rainfall amounts were in excess of 1.0 inch of precipitation. This change includes 14 additional contract days, extending the day count to 134 days. This Change Order also includes quantity adjustments to the established bid quantities due to a field change resulting in eliminating a transformer off the bid tab to utilize existing equipment. This required new line items to be added to the bid tab. The total adjusted cost for this change order is total project costs deduct of $52,426.57, creating a revised contract value of $178,665.80, 77.30% of the original contract cost.
