Approval of and authorization to execute an agreement between Indian Nations Council of Governments (INCOG) and City of Broken Arrow for Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Funds for purchase and installation of ambulance idle reduction equipment

Background:
On August 1, 2016, the Engineering and Construction Department, General Services Department, and Fire Department submitted an application for Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) funding for idle reduction equipment for one ambulance. On August 24, 2016, the Indian Nations Council of Governments (INCOG) notified the City that the grant application had been approved in the amount of $32,000 federal funds, to be matched by $8,000 City funds, for a total project cost of $40,000. On October 24,2016, INCOG submitted the attached agreement detailing the distribution and reporting of the grant funds. Staff recommends that the City Council approve the attached INCOG-City Agreement and authorize its execution.
Funding for the local share will be from Sales Tax Capital Improvements.
Cost: $40,000.00 ($8,000.00 City share)
