Approval of and authorization to purchase annual software maintenance services from SunGard Public Sector, Inc.

Background:
The City has utilized SunGard Public Sector Inc. software as it sole computer application since 1993. Software product enhancements to these applications occur throughout the year. To ensure the City has the most up-to-date product and support, maintenance services are essential.
The total annual maintenance cost is $269,097.22. Sufficient funds have been budgeted for these services. Staff recommends the purchase of the annual maintenance services.
