Background:
Engineering & Construction Department staff negotiated a Professional Consultant Services Agreement with Hudson Prince Engineering & Inspection, PLLC, for design of the roadway widening of the entry road to Elam Park. The project will have two phases, with Phase I being a traffic study of the intersection of W Florence St and the entry road with a report providing design recommendations. Phase II, which will be brought back to the governing body as an amendment at a later date after completion of Phase I, will include developing a set of complete detailed construction plans to reconfigure the intersection of the entrance and W Florence S, the roadway to the park incorporating a boulevard-style separation between northbound and southbound traffic lanes, and expansion of the existing parking lot at the park.
