Background:
This project includes wet weather capacity improvements to the existing Old Adams Creek Lift Station flow equalization basin (FEB). This project will allow for the station to better handle increased flows during wet weather events and should reduce overflows in this area during these events. The work will include a wet weather diversion pump station, synthetic lined flow equalization basin, return flow control structure, earthwork, yard piping, and electrical improvement. The project included three additive alternates: Additive Alternate A for a 3' wide concrete mow strip, Additive Alternate B for a concrete liner in lieu of a synthetic liner for the FEB, and Additive Alternate C for epoxy coating of the existing wet well. Construction time will be for 365 days.
The project was advertised on November 6th and November 20th, 2023, and a virtual pre bid meeting followed by site visit was held on November 20th, 2023. There were four (4) bids received on December 7th, 2023. The Certified Bid Tab is attached. The lowest responsible bid is Cherokee Pride Construction, Inc. for $2,586,836.00 for the Base Bid plus Additive Alternates A, B, and C. The Engineer's Estimate for this project is $2,645,550.00 for the Base Bid plus Additive Alternates A, B, and C.
