Approval of and authorization to execute the Professional Services Agreement with Jacobs for the Update of the Emergency Response Plan and Risk and Resilience Assessment (2454490)

End

Background:

Per the America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 (AWIA), the Environmental Protection Agency requires the completion of a Risk and Resiliency Assessment (RRA) to be completed by March 31, 2025 and an Emergency Response Plan (ERP) completed exactly six months later. EPA recommends the use of standard AWWA J100-10 Risk and Resilience Management of Water and Wastewater Systems to facilitate the assessments and plans. Due to the complicated nature of this assessment and response plan standard, the Utilities Department is requesting the assistance of Jacobs to complete the RRA and ERP. Jacobs has an experienced team dedicated to this task. Jacobs will evaluate the City of Broken Arrow’s water treatment and distribution system and complete the Risk and Resiliency Assessment followed by the Emergency Response Plan within the required time frame.

The fee for this project is $123,200.00  Funding for the project will be from the Utilities Department Operations and Maintenance (O&M) budget, Project Number 2454490.
