Background:

Due to the retirement of the Presiding Municipal Court Judge, the City of Broken Arrow has tasked the Judicial Nominating Committee to interview and recommend 3 candidates.  Per City Ordinance 14-6.1, when a vacancy for a judicial position is certain to occur, the Judicial Nominating Committee shall submit to the Mayor the names of three qualified nominees for such position. The Mayor shall then either appoint a Judge from the list of names submitted by the Committee or notify the Committee to submit the names of three additional nominees for such position.

After reviewing applications and interviewing candidates for the Alternate Judge position, the Judicial Nominating Committee has reached a consensus on three qualified nominees to present to the Mayor. These recommendations were provided to the Mayor by the Committee.  Attached are the recommendations.

Also, attached is a Professional Services Contract for the Judge.
