Presentation and discussion of the 2017 Citizen Survey Results
End
Background:
The City of Broken Arrow proposes to hold a General Obligation Bond election in summer 2018. General Obligation (GO) Bond financing is a common funding tool used by Oklahoma municipalities to pay for large capital projects, such as the building of roads, public facilities and parks.
Public input is highly desired in the process of selecting bond projects. As a result, the City of Broken Arrow retained the services of sixPR, LLC, to conduct a comprehensive survey to assess citizens’ satisfaction with major services and seek input on future public infrastructure and quality of life projects. The survey was available both online and on paper at City Hall from October 1, 2017 through November 10, 2017. The City’s highly successful solicitation resulted in 2,579 households completing the survey. The results show a broad satisfaction with most City services and indicates specific areas in which the City can better serve the community.
