Background:
The Parks Department has identified the need to purchase one (1) new Skyjack SJ6832 RT rough-terrain scissor lift to support park maintenance and other departmental operations. The unit is equipped with a diesel engine, foam-filled tires, outriggers, a full-height entrance gate, and a five-foot platform extension.
Warren CAT provided Quote No. 338882-01 for the equipment through Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Contract No. 020923-SKJ. The City of Broken Arrow is a participating Sourcewell member, Member ID No. 67325. The quoted price includes a base purchase price of $52,623.00 and a tariff surcharge of $2,960.04, for a total purchase price of $55,583.04. The equipment includes a two-year or 3,000-hour warranty, whichever occurs first.
The Sourcewell cooperative contract complies with Section 2-27(b)(5) of the Broken Arrow Code of Ordinances, which provides an exception to the competitive bidding process for purchases made through state contracts or purchasing consortiums.
Funding for this purchase is available in the Parks Department budget, account number [account number].
