Background:
This project is to provide and install the Granite Memorial Wall for the Veterans Park redevelopment as shown on the plans. It takes time to prepare this wall and, therefore, it was bid so it would be ready to install prior to May 4, 2018.
The project was advertised for bids on November 14 and November 21, 2017. Bids were opened on December 5, 2017 and three (3) bids were received. All bids were responsive. The Certified Bid Tabulation is attached. The lowest responsible bidder was Builders Unlimited, Inc., with a bid of $39,175.00. The engineer’s estimate was $31,376.00.
Staff recommends awarding the Bid in the amount of $39,175.00 to Builders Unlimited, Inc.
Funding for the improvements will be from Parks Capital funds.
Cost: $39,175.00
