Consideration, discussion, and possible approval of the appointment of Pablo Aguirre to the City of Broken Arrow Planning Commission to replace Carolyne Isbell-Carr for the remainder of a three-year term to expire May 1, 2018

Background: Planning Commission members are appointed to serve three-year terms. Commissioner Isbell-Carr is needing to step down due to other obligations however, her term expires May 1, 2018. Councilman Mike Lester has recommended Mr. Aguirre to be appointed for the remainder of the term.
Mr. Aguirre has served this past year on the Broken Arrow Board of Adjustment and has been in full attendance. Mr. Aguirre has a Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma State University in Business Administration. He has a strong work history as well as a community volunteer background.
Mr. Aguirre is currently serving as a board member on the Broken Arrow Board of Adjustment. In order to become a member of the Broken Arrow Planning Commission, Mr. Aguirre is volunteering to step down from the Board of Adjustment.
Mayor Thurmond is appointing Pablo Aguirre to serve as the replacement of Carolyne Isbell-Carr for the remainder of the term.
