Background:
Tina Valdecanas, Principal with Clarity of Place, the organization selected to develop Visit Broken Arrow’s new five-year strategic plan, will present the final draft of the Tourism Strategic plan for final approval.
Highlights of the plan include:
• SWOT Analysis - Current tourism strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats
• Identifying Primary Target Markets for Growth:
o Veterans Travel Market
o Sports Tourism (Overnight stay capture)
o Film Tourism Development
• Coordinating Imperatives, Strategies and Tactics divided into:
o Immediate wins: 0-12 months (low resource, high impact actions that build momentum)
o Foundation builders: 12-36 months (moderate resource initiatives requiring cross-functional coordination
o Transformative Initiatives: 36-60 months (high investment, systemic shifts requiring policy/sector alignment
