Background:

The City of Broken Arrow’s Right of Way Agent contacted David Williams, the property owner in relation to fee simple purchase for the Events Park Infrastructure. In June I received a call from David Williams, the son to Amy Williams. He advised that he contacted me based on the neighbor’s house selling to the city. He said he had heard gossip but didn’t believe it until after the June 3, 2024, City Council meeting. On June 26,2024, the city sent Amy Williams an offer letter in the amount of $218,000.00. The value was based off the appraisal that was received. The City received no response.

 

The City’s right-of-way agent has attempted unsuccessfully to negotiate with Mr. Williams, the owner of Parcel 3.0, located at 21194 East 101st Street, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Section 29, Township 18 North, Range 15 East. The attached Resolution of Necessity No. 1613 recommends that condemnation proceed on Parcel 3.0, for the fee simple purchase of Lot 5, Block 1, Whispering Hills Estates.

 

Cost:                                                                $218,000.00 plus costs
