Background:
The Solid Waste and Recycling Division is requesting to purchase one refuse trucks to replace an older unit in the fleet. This truck is smaller in size and will be used to pick up accounts on streets that cannot easily accommodate the larger full size refuse truck. Funds for this purchase are budgeted in the Broken Arrow Municipal Authority (BAMA) Capital Outlay in the amount of $155,000.00, project number 2451200.
Bid requests for this refuse truck were sent to six vendors, three bids were received. Of the three bids received only one bid met the requirement. Base pricing and selected options for the refuse truck is reflected in the attached bid tabulation. City Staff recommends the Authority awards to the most responsible bid for the purchase of one new 2024 Chevrolet 5500HD chassis with a Curbtender 8-yard Quantum packer from Karl Chevrolet.
