Background:

The owner, Atul Sood, has submitted an application requesting the closure of a 17.5-foot utility easement on property located approximately one-half mile north of Dearborn Street (41st Street), one-half mile west of 37th Street (209th East Avenue) at 20105 E 36th Place. The property is currently platted as Lot 6, Block 2, Amended Glen Eagles Addition. The applicant is requesting to close the easement to facilitate the construction of a new home.

Staff has reviewed the documents and recommends acceptance of the utility easement closure. AEP/PSO, Windstream, ONG, and COX have no objections to closing the easement. This Ordinance was previewed by the City Council on July 17, 2023 and set for adoption.
