Background:
In 1991, the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published the first Lead and Copper Rule to minimize lead and copper in drinking water. Since then, EPA has revised the rule been revised several times. The latest revision was in December 2023 with the Lead and Copper Rule Improvements. This presentation is to update the Council and the Public on the program and the Utilities Department’s response to the program.
