Background:
Upon request of the current property owner, the City of Broken Arrow is proposing to annex approximately 39 acres of land located in Section One (1), Township 17 North, Range 14 East of the Indian Base and Meridian, Tulsa County, State of Oklahoma, according to the United States Government Survey thereof and located south of East Tucson Street (East 121st Street South) and west of County Line Road (South 193rd East Avenue).

Currently this 39 acre tract of land is undeveloped and zoned AG (agriculture) in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. The proposal is to develop a residential subdivision. The Legal Notice of Annexation was approved by the City Council at its regular meeting of December 1, 2015. It was published as required by 11 O.S. ?21-103B(1) and included the legal description and a map of the area to be annexed at the time of publication. Also, the Legal Notice of Annexation was mailed in accordance with the provisions of Title 11, Section 21-103, to all affected property owners within 300 feet of the annexation.

A public hearing will be held prior to the adoption of this Ordinance at the City Council meeting on January 5, 2016. Staff recommends that the Council preview the Ordinance and set it for adoption.
