Background:

Representatives of the City of Broken Arrow approached the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) with a proposal to purchase approximately two parcels of vacant land generally located east of South Elm Place and north of the Creek Turnpike.  OTA has declared 4.56 acres as available surplus, with a purchase price of $189,100.00.  The attached Agreement has been prepared by OTA as an offer for the sale of real property to the Broken Arrow Municipal Authority (BAMA).

The properties border the west and east sides of City-owned property, and they have features that appear to be a good fit for the purpose of a potential water storage tank site.

Upon acceptance of the Agreement and the receipt of funds, OTA will file the attached Quit Claim Deed showing the Broken Arrow Municipal Authority as Grantee.

Payment of the compensation amount is on the June 1, 2026 Broken Arrow Municipal Authority Claims List.
