Approval of and authorization to execute three (3) Contracts with Tulsa County for Public Improvements, Provision of Public Services and Assistance to Vintage Housing for the Fiscal Year 2015 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs

Background:
The City of Broken Arrow is in its eighth year of participation with the Tulsa County Community Development Block Grant Urban County program. This fiscal year, the City is receiving $386,788.00 as its allocation of funds. This represents a decrease of $47,860.00 from the previous year’s allocation due to a decrease in CDBG funding on the national level. Of this figure, $328,770.00 is allocated for public improvements, with the remaining $58,018.00 allocated to provision of public services.
As Tulsa County is the lead entity of the Urban County program, the City must contract with the County to receive the City’s allocation of this year’s CDBG funds. The attached contracts memorialize this arrangement. Staff recommends approval of and authorization to execute the contracts.
