Background:
In alignment with the budgetary allocation in the Broken Arrow Municipal Authority (BAMA) budget, funds have been approved for the acquisition of a new 2-ton Regular cab four-wheel-drive truck with service body, identified under Project Number 2454010.
To optimize Broken Arrow’s resources and capitalize on cost efficiencies, Maintenance Services Department recommends the purchase of the new 2-ton regular cab four-wheel-drive truck with service body be executed under the Oklahoma statewide Contract number SW035. This contract facilitates municipal agencies across the State of Oklahoma to procure vehicles at the state contract price, offering a substantial cost advantage. The utilization of the State of Oklahoma Contract SW035 ensures compliance with budgetary constraints while securing a high-quality asset for the Utilities Department.
Following a thorough evaluation of available options, the Maintenance Services Department recommends the approval and award to John Vance Motors, Inc. Their bid for a 2024 Ram 5500 Regular Cab truck with service body has been identified as the lowest responsible bid, making it the most advantageous choice for the City of Broken Arrow.
