Background:
The Capital Equipment Replacement Project is for the annual replacement of equipment at the Regional Metropolitan Utility Authority (RMUA) Haikey Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant (HCWWTP). This project is to replace capital equipment identified in the strategic asset management plan. Equipment to be replaced includes: 2 thickened waste activated sludge (TWAS) pumps, motors, valves, piping, and other appurtenances.
The Construction cost for this project is $679,000.00. A portion of this project ($179,380) will be paid for with RMUA reserve finds. The remaining contract amount of $499,620 will be split between BAMA and TMUA who will each pay 50% ($249,810.00). Funding for the improvements will be from the Utilities Department Operations and Maintenance (O&M) budget.
